Perfect Chess Pie

- 1 unbaked pie crust
- 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup half-and-half
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Beat pumpkin, sugar, and butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth. Add eggs and next six ingredients, beating until well blended. Pour filling into prepared crust.
- Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until almost set. Cool completely on a wire rack (about 1 hour). Chill for 8 hours or overnight.
