Perfect Chess Pie

Ingredients
  • 1 unbaked pie crust
  • 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

​Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350. 
  2. Beat pumpkin, sugar, and butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth. Add eggs and next six ingredients, beating until well blended. Pour filling into prepared crust. 
  3. Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until almost set. Cool completely on a wire rack (about 1 hour). Chill for 8 hours or overnight.
