Chili Cheese Popcorn

Ingredients:
  • 8 cups popped popcorn (about 1/4 cup unpopped)
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon molasses 

Directions:
  1. Turn on oven to 325. 
  2. Pop the popcorn
  3. Remove and throw away all unpopped kernels from popped popcorn. Place popcorn in a baking pan. Save until step 6.
  4. Put butter in the saucepan and turn on a burner to low heat. Heat until butter melts. Remove saucepan from the burner.
  5. Using a spoon, stir in corn syrup and molasses into melted butter. 
  6. Slowly pour the mixture over the popcorn and coat as evenly as possible.
  7.  Put baking pan in the oven. Bake for 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes are up, let cool.

  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons grated parmesan cheese

Directions:
  1. Put popcorn in a large bowl. Remove and throw away all un-popped kernels from popped popcorn. Save for step 3.
  2. Put butter in the saucepan. Heat until butter melts. Then remove the saucepan from the burner. 
  3. Stir in chili powder and garlic powder into melted butter. Drizzle butter mixture over popcorn. Toss the popcorn and coat it as evenly as possible. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and toss again.
