- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 flank steak
- 3/4 cup fresh carrots chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- fresh or jarred ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 3 tbs chili paste
- 3/4 cup frozen peas and/or broccoli
- 3 green onions, sliced thinly
Directions:
- Cut the steak into bite-size pieces and then brown in the sesame oil on medium-high heat. Add the rest of the ingredients into the pan (excepting the peas/broccoli, they can get mushy).
- Let simmer on low for about 15 minutes so the flavor can seep into the meat and veggies and so the meat will tenderize, stirring occasionally. Then, add the peas or broccoli and cook until done.
