Ingredients for Basil Pesto:
Directions for making the Pesto:
- 12 oz short pasta
- 1 1/2 cup halved cherry tomatos
- 1 1/2 cup halved kalamata olive (black olives work but do not taste as good imo)
- 1 cup mozzarella balls or shredded mozzarella
- 1 cup basil pesto
Directions for the Pasta Salad:
- Cook pasta according to the package.
- Drain the pasta and rinse with cold water to cool it off.
- Toss all the ingredients in a large bowl.
Ingredients for Basil Pesto:
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves (peeled)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/3 cup olive oil
Directions for making the Pesto:
- Put the basil, parmesan, and garlic in a food processor and season with salt and pepper.
- Blend while adding the olive oil until emulsified.
