​Basil Pesto Pasta Salad

Ingredients for the Pasta Salad: 
  • 12 oz short pasta
  • 1 1/2 cup halved cherry tomatos 
  • 1 1/2 cup halved kalamata olive (black olives work but do not taste as good imo)
  • 1 cup mozzarella balls or shredded mozzarella 
  • 1 cup basil pesto

Directions for the Pasta Salad: 
  1. Cook pasta according to the package.
  2. Drain the pasta and rinse with cold water to cool it off.
  3. Toss all the ingredients in a large bowl.​

Ingredients for Basil Pesto:
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese 
  • 2 garlic cloves (peeled) 
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/3 cup olive oil 

Directions for making the Pesto: 
  1. Put the basil, parmesan, and garlic in a food processor and season with salt and pepper. 
  2. Blend while adding the olive oil until emulsified.
